In 2016 and 2017, I experienced one of the hardest seasons of my life when I lost both of my parents just six and a half months apart. Before their passing, I fought tirelessly to find quality assisted living programs and supportive services to ease their care. But the reality was heartbreaking—what I needed simply didn’t exist.

I wanted someone who would care for my parents as if God and I were standing right there, watching. Someone who treated them with the same love, dignity, and attention that I gave them. But because I couldn’t find that, I became their caregiver while working full time.

That experience shaped me. It opened my eyes to a gap that too many families face: the need for trusted, compassionate, dependable in-home care. So I made a decision. I would stand in that gap. I would create the service I wished existed for my parents.

That’s why I founded Autumn Home Care—to fulfill the need for care that families can trust, rooted in compassion, dignity, and faith.
